As an Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in all stages of design—from concept through to technical delivery—helping to create energy-efficient, environmentally responsible buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency, and fire alarm systems
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/BIM tools
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and verify design solutions
- Collaborate with mechanical, public health, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully coordinated MEP designs
- Ensure all designs comply with BS 7671, CIBSE guidance, and UK building regulations
- Assist in tender documentation and liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Contribute to sustainable, low-carbon design initiatives across projects
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 2–5 years’ experience in electrical building services design consultancy
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation software
- Strong knowledge of UK wiring regulations (BS 7671) and CIBSE standards
- Passion for sustainable design and energy-efficient building solutions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-working skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
