Job Description

“Practice isn’t the thing you do once you’re good. It’s the thing you do that makes you good.”  Malcolm Gladwell.

Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a highly respected, forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Southwest London to recruit a Practice Manager or Office Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional to oversee the smooth running of a busy, innovative practice and support both partners and staff.

The role:
As Practice Manager, you will ensure the day-to-day operations of the office run efficiently while maintaining the firm’s high standards of service. You will play a pivotal role in shaping processes, supporting staff, and enabling the partners to focus on delivering exceptional client service.

Your key responsibilities as the Practice Manager will include:
  • Managing day-to-day office operations and administrative processes.
  • Supporting partners in practice management and business operations.
  • Coordinating HR, recruitment, and staff onboarding.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing billing, finance, and client service workflows.
  • Acting as the central point of contact for internal and external queries.

To be considered for this Practice Manager position, you will ideally have:
  • Experience in office or practice management, ideally within an accountancy or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Confidence using office and practice management systems.

What’s on offer:
  • A key role within a highly respected, forward-thinking accountancy practice.
  • Opportunity to shape and improve processes and contribute to the smooth running of the firm.
  • A collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.

If you are a proactive, organised professional looking to take ownership of the day-to-day operations in a dynamic accountancy practice, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today or contact Sheridan Maine for more information.

You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
