Job Advert: Children’s Social Worker
Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Employment Type: Temporary (12 weeks – very high chance of extension)
Number of Posts: 2
Start Date: Monday 15 December 2025
Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week (hybrid working available)
Salary: PAYE: £28.15+ per hour | Umbrella: £36.88 per hour
The Teams
Two newly expanded Family Support Teams doing long-term, strengths-based work with families – Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO, and proceedings right up to final orders.
This is proper relationship-based social work: kind, consistent, creative, and focused on building resilience and keeping children safely at home wherever possible.
