Job Description
Are you a HGV Class 1 Driver looking for part-time or full time ONGOING work? Want to work with one of the UK's leading supply chain logistics providers? Working within the automotive sector with us, long term opportunities are available.
Day, Afternoon and Night shifts are available Monday - Friday with optional weekends - 12 months YEAR ROUND WORK
This role will involve:
- Local delivery and collection of Automotive parts
- Local sequence deliveries from manufacturing facility into plant
- Some distance deliveries to and from other suppliers/manufacturers
- Start times vary and levels of flexibility are needed based on what shift you choose.
- 8-12 hour shifts (Minimum 9 paid / Inc 1 hour Overtime)
- 3-5 shifts per week
- No Handball
- Sites based in Solihull & North Birmingham
Successful HGV Class 1 Drivers will:
- Have at least 6 months C+E experience
- Held Class 1 licence for AT LEAST 2 years
- Have no more than 6 points for minor offenses (No DDs, DRs or CDs)
- Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
HGV Class 1 Drivers PAYE rates of pay:
Monday to Friday Days - £15.40 per hour (06:00-18:00)
Monday to Friday Nights - £19.26 per hour (18:00-06:00)
Overtime after 8 hours per shift £23.10 to £26.95
Guaranteed 9 hours per shift (1 hours overtime daily)
Exceptional weekend rates up to £30.80 per hour!
Pay rates will increase significantly after 12 months worth of service on contract.
Mandatory assessments are involved which will include:
- Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)
- Full site and safe systems of work induction
- Vehicle familiarisation
- Practical driving assessment
