This warm, nurturing special school is looking to add a teacher to its team to teach either a Key Stage 2 or 3 class with special educational needs. The school is happy to consider a teacher from either a primary or secondary background, previous experience in a SEND school is desirable, however not essential for this role.  This is a long-term opportunity that has potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Job Role:

• Teaching and planning for a small class of students with moderate to complex learning needs
• Creating an engaging, supportive and structured learning environment
• Differentiating lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and communication profiles
• Working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support
• Building rapport with pupils and promoting confidence, independence and progress
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and senior leaders

You Will Need:

• QTS or QTLS (essential)
• Previous experience of working with SEND, ideally Autism, MLD or complex needs is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach
• A commitment to inclusive practice and personalised learning
